Every year on 9 September, World FASD Awareness Day brings attention to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and the importance of greater awareness and understanding.
To mark the occasion, we added a touch of red to one of our regular monthly FASD-Bridge meetings.
Red, and particularly red shoes, is widely used as a symbol of FASD awareness, helping to increase the visibility of FASD and promote greater understanding across our communities. It was a small gesture with an important message: raising awareness is a step towards better recognition, understanding, and support for people with FASD and their families
